I’m currently navigating the job market in Germany as a Flutter Software Engineer with over 2 years of experience. My background is a bit unconventional since I hold a degree in Pharmacy rather than Computer Science. I’ve been self-taught in software development and have gained practical experience working with Flutter, Dart, Firebase, REST APIs, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB. In my last role, I not only developed applications but also led a small team, making architectural decisions and managing releases for significant production projects. Despite my experience, I’ve noticed that my job applications aren’t yielding as many responses as I had hoped. I'm trying to assess whether this is due to my CV—perhaps its formatting or the way I’ve described my experiences—or if the absence of a CS degree is a major red flag for potential employers in Germany. I’m particularly interested in feedback from those familiar with the German tech scene. Does my CV appear credible for someone with my level of experience? Is the lack of a CS degree a significant barrier?
