I had a frustrating experience with a recruiter recently. After a screening for a role that I felt went really well, the recruiter promised to reach out about next steps within the hour, but I didn’t hear back. I followed up the next day and waited a week for a response. Finally, I received an email about the next round of interviews, but it included a link to submit my availability. I submitted my times but didn’t hear back for another week. Then, out of the blue at 11pm, I got an email scheduling an interview for 11am the next day. The problem? I already had another interview scheduled at the same time. I was shocked at how unprofessional it was to schedule something so last-minute. I immediately emailed the recruiter to let her know I was no longer available and provided my updated availability. Now I’m really stressed because I have a final round interview tomorrow, and I’m worried about missing out on the other opportunity. What if the final round doesn’t work out? It’s just a lot to handle right now.
