Facing job termination risk with 3.5 points due to recent missteps at work

I'm currently facing a tough situation at my job where I'm accumulating points that could lead to my termination. I'm at 3.5 points right now, with 9 points being the limit before I get fired. Two of those points came from clocking in at 8 AM but not being at my desk right away because I was filling my water bottle. I didn't realize I needed to notify management about that, so I got penalized for it. I also received 1.5 points for calling in sick; I thought it would just be 1 point, but I got an extra half point because I didn't specify when I'd be back. This week, the only person who takes calls overnight is on vacation, so I volunteered to help out with a hybrid schedule. Unfortunately, I missed a few calls overnight, which could add another 3 points to my total. I'm really worried because this is only day 1 of 3 that I'm on-call, and I might end up with 6.5 points or more. I feel like I might have messed up by agreeing to this schedule, and I'm considering whether I can reject it last minute to avoid getting fired. I know I might be to blame for this situation, but I've been trying to maintain good morale at work, especially with all the recent layoffs and people quitting. I've been putting in extra effort and helping new employees, and now I feel like I'm at risk of losing my job for trying to help someone else out.
