I have an exciting opportunity coming up this week as I will be attending an industry networking event hosted by a professional association that I’ve been a member of for a few years. I already know many of the manufacturer reps who will be there through my experience selling their products. What makes this event particularly interesting is that the company I’m interviewing with will have a booth at the event. This company has not had much of a presence in my local market, which is part of why I applied for the position. I’m looking for advice on how to make a good impression at this event. Even though the person at the booth might not be the recruiter, I believe that my interactions will be noticed and could potentially influence my application. I have strong professional relationships with some of the reps attending, and they have even agreed to be my references. I feel like everything is aligning for me to take this next step in my career, and I want to make the most of it!
