Unexpected termination after five days as a medical receptionist leaves me confused and seeking advi

Today, I was let go from my medical receptionist position after only five days on the job. The termination was completely unexpected; I had just interacted with a patient at 9:30 AM, and by 10 AM, I was told I was no longer needed. I was informed that there were concerns about my attitude, but I was genuinely trying to learn and adapt to the role. I rarely used my phone, asked questions, and made an effort to improve. I never received any feedback or warnings about my performance, which makes this situation even more confusing. Additionally, there was a misunderstanding regarding my availability when I was hired. I had asked about my upcoming schedule and was told I had requested a day off that I didn't actually mark down. I feel like I was set up to fail without any opportunity to correct any perceived issues. I requested a written statement regarding my termination to help with my unemployment application, but I was only told that my final paycheck had been mailed. I asked again for documentation, but the response was vague and unhelpful. I know that Pennsylvania is an at-will employment state, meaning they can terminate me without warning, but I’m wondering if I should keep pursuing documentation, file for unemployment regardless, or consult an employment lawyer. Has anyone else experienced something similar? What should my next steps be?
