I recently got laid off from my managerial position and have been offered a Senior Specialist role at a new company, IH, which is set to pioneer operations in the Philippines. The offer comes with a slight pay increase of around ₱2K plus incentives, but it's a step down from my previous role. I'm currently weighing my options: on one hand, accepting the position would provide me with continuous employment and a steady income, which feels safer given the current economic climate. On the other hand, I could take my redundancy pay, enjoy some time off, and search for a role that better aligns with my experience and career level. I'm really torn about whether to accept the lower role for the sake of stability or to hold out for a better opportunity.
