I'm currently navigating a challenging situation at my job, where I'm facing a headcount reduction while also being halfway through my pregnancy. I work for a company based overseas, and every three years, we undergo a restructuring when a new CEO comes on board. While the benefits and pay are great, the constant restructuring makes it hard to feel secure in my role. Right now, my position is being cut down to about 80% of the current workforce, and I have an interview for my current job next week. It's tough because I can't find anything appropriate to wear that accommodates my baby bump, and I really don't want to spend money on new clothes just to reapply for a job I already have. I believe I have a good chance of getting the role back due to my performance, but the anxiety is overwhelming. If I do get it, I will have to change how I work, including the people I interact with, which is frustrating since I'm in the middle of a critical project. I had planned to take minimal leave, but since I'll likely be assigned to something new, I might as well use all my paid leave and PTO. I just needed to vent; life has been feeling pretty overwhelming lately, and this situation is adding to it.
