I recently found myself in a complicated job situation after being approached by a US company for a remote role while I’m currently in the UK on a graduate visa. About a month ago, I went through three interviews that I felt went really well. The company initially expressed interest in hiring me in the UAE, where I will soon have full work rights, but now it seems they are struggling with the logistics of that. They’ve mentioned they are still interested in me, but after a month, it appears they are not set up to hire in the UAE as they initially thought. I suggested starting in the UK on my graduate visa, which allows me to work without sponsorship for the next 16 months. However, they are now discussing longer-term sponsorship options and it seems like they are having second thoughts about that. I’m feeling a bit lost on how to navigate this situation and would appreciate any advice on how to proceed or how to help them understand my position better.
