I recently graduated with a degree in paralegal studies and have been struggling to find a clerical job since all I have is retail experience. I finally landed two interviews this week, and one of them is for a medical insurance claims support specialist position. I'm really excited about the opportunity as it seems like a step in the right direction for my career. However, I'm feeling a bit conflicted about the role. My biggest concern is that I might end up denying people the healthcare they need. I imagine taking calls from clients who are trying to get their medical expenses covered, and I worry that I would be the one making their situation worse. While I desperately need a job, I can't shake the feeling that I would be contributing to a system that denies people the care they require. It's a tough spot to be in.
