Interview experience with CEO at startup raises concerns over job title validity

Today, I had an interview at a startup where I had already cleared 6 rounds. The final round was with the CEO, and I felt it went fairly well overall. We discussed my experience and previous roles for about 30 minutes, but then the CEO dropped a surprising comment. He stated that he doesn't view 'Supervisor' as a legitimate job title and suggested that my experience in that role looks more like a career gap. I was taken aback since I had already gone through multiple interviews and thought my background would be valued. I understand that companies have different perspectives on job titles and career paths, but I believe that actual responsibilities and achievements should matter more than the title itself. I have a feeling I won't be moving forward after this round, which is fine. I’m not here to criticize the CEO or the company; I just wanted to share my experience in case it helps someone else. If you're interviewing at a startup and your past role was as a Supervisor, I recommend asking the recruiter if they consider that experience valid. It's disheartening to clear multiple rounds only to find out that your previous title is seen as irrelevant. Just wanted to share what happened today.
