After six long years of freelancing and struggling to find my footing, I finally landed a job in my field. However, instead of feeling elated, I find myself completely miserable. The role is exhausting, and I feel constantly overwhelmed, leading to anxiety and even panic attacks. I know I should be grateful given the current job market, but the reality is that I'm not enjoying my work at all. Quitting isn’t really an option for me; I fear having to return to pet sitting and hustling just to make ends meet. It feels like I’m stuck in a nightmare where the only choices are to work myself to the bone or be unemployed and broke. I can’t help but wonder if there’s a better path out there. Am I being unreasonable for wanting more than this?
