After two long years of unemployment, I finally landed a full-time job! It’s been a tough journey filled with countless applications and only one acceptance. I lost my career, my confidence, and at times, my identity. I did odd jobs to make ends meet while trying to stay positive for my son. Earlier this year, I even quit a job because the work environment was hostile, which left me feeling like I was back at square one. There were days I cried and wanted to give up, feeling embarrassed about my situation. But I kept believing that the right opportunity would come along. This new job means so much more than just a paycheck; it represents a fresh start and a chance to rebuild my life. I’m also excited to share that I’ve been accepted into college for healthcare administration while working as a dental assistant. My goal is to eventually manage a dental practice with my degree.
