I finally received an official job offer and I'm torn about whether to stay at my current company after my 3 months of FMLA. I'm considering whether to give my two weeks notice or just inform them that my last day will be next Friday to hit the two-year mark. I’ve been going back and forth on this decision, and it's tough. I know deep down that the company won't care if I leave and will replace me quickly, but it's still a difficult situation. My two-year anniversary is next week, which means I would be vested at about 20%, so at least I would get something out of it. The new job wants me to start on October 1 to qualify for the year-end bonus and annual increase in December. If I had received the offer last Friday, I would have given my two weeks and made it to my two-year mark. Now I’m debating if I should still give a full two weeks, making my last day the 30th, or leave on the 25th, which gives me a week and a half to rest before starting on October 1. I know this might seem trivial, but I really don’t want to burn bridges because I genuinely like my team. However, they are also the reason I went on FMLA, and my attempts to switch departments haven’t worked out despite trying three times.
