However, I received another offer last week that I ultimately declined today. The real twist is that I also received an offer for my dream job, which is a significantly higher-paying and more senior role than the one I accepted. I've completed all the necessary acceptance documents for this dream job, and HR confirmed that the only remaining steps are a standard background check and drug test, with a start date next month. Given that Job #3 is my top priority, I’m trying to figure out how to handle the situation with Job #1. Should I withdraw now before starting on Monday, or should I wait until the contingencies for Job #3 are cleared? My plan is to call Job #3 tomorrow to discuss the timeline for the background check and drug test. I know this is a good problem to have, but I’m looking for advice on the best way to navigate it.
