I started my new job at a local retail store a week ago, and I'm feeling a bit anxious about the payroll process. When I started, they asked me to bring my ID and Social Security card, but the payroll person hasn't come in yet to collect those documents from me or the other new hire. I'm worried that not having my ID on file might cause issues when it comes time for me to get paid. I'm planning to check in with HR on my next shift to see if I can resolve this before payday.
