Amsive LLC and ABM General Services announce layoffs in Ohio

Two more companies have announced impending layoffs in the State of Ohio. This week, Amsive LLC submitted a WARN with the Ohio Department of Job & Family Services. The letter explains that the company will carry out a permanent reduction in force at its Miamisburg, Ohio facility at 3303 West Tech Road.

The layoffs are expected to begin on May 17, 2024 and will permanently impact 60 workers. The workers are not represented by any union and will not have access to bumping rights. ABM General Services submitted a WARN saying it would no longer be providing janitorial services at CLE 2 Amazon which maintains a place of business at 21500 Emery Road in North Randall, Ohio.

The WARN explains that CLE 2 Amazon decided to terminate its existing contract with ABM on January 8, 2024. ABM will be permanently laying off workers at this location. All 127 ABM employees at CLE2 Amazon will be laid off. The impacted workers include cleaners, leads, warehouse workers, and supervisors.
