I was laid off last month from my job in Ohio and started the application for unemployment benefits. After a long wait, I finally received notification today that I’ve been approved for benefits. However, I had previously filed for two weeks of benefits for the periods ending on 10/10 and 10/17, and both of those claims were denied. I'm unsure why they were denied since they didn't provide a specific reason, but I suspect it might be because my eligibility was still being determined at that time. Now that I have been approved, I am wondering if I can appeal the denial for those weeks. I couldn't find any information on the unemployment website about how to appeal, but I came across some sources online suggesting that an appeal is possible. This is my first experience with unemployment, so I'm feeling a bit lost about what steps to take next.
