I recently received a job offer for a position that was set to start on October 26th. However, I was informed yesterday that my start date has been pushed back to November 9th due to my pre-employment screening still being pending. This caught me off guard because just that morning, I was told that I was cleared to start on Monday. No one had mentioned any issues prior to this. The company explained that my background check is currently 'in review for compliance,' but I'm unsure what that entails. I can confidently say that I didn't lie on my background check. When I applied, I was still employed at my previous company, which I have since left, but I made sure to provide the correct dates. The background check was conducted by First Advantage, and it flagged two of my previous jobs as 'consider,' likely because they were with staffing agencies. I'm now worried that my job offer might be rescinded due to this delay and the flags on my background check. Has anyone else experienced something similar? Should I be concerned?
