I recently found myself in a bit of a dilemma regarding a job I applied for a few months back. I had applied for a case manager position focused on helping homeless individuals, which was a role I was really passionate about given my 7 years of experience in social services, specifically in case management and grant management. However, after a promising interview where they mentioned they would be in touch for a second interview, I never heard back. Fast forward to now, I noticed that the position has been reposted. Since moving to a new city two years ago to be with my partner's family, I've struggled to find a job in social services due to a felony on my record and my inability to drive after a seizure. These factors have made my job search quite challenging, and I currently work in food service, which isn't directly relevant to my previous experience. I'm contemplating whether it would be appropriate to reapply for the case manager position despite my situation remaining unchanged. I have great references from my past roles, and I'm aware that they might still be looking for the right candidate. I believe in the saying that you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take, so I’m leaning towards giving it another shot. Any thoughts or advice on this would be greatly appreciated!
