I'm feeling anxious about my job security right now. My company has already laid off about half of my team this year, and they've recently brought in Big 4 consultants to take over a lot of the work we used to handle ourselves. While nothing has been officially announced regarding further layoffs, I can't shake the feeling that my position might be in jeopardy. The tricky part is that my company is currently funding my master's degree, and I have about a year left to complete it. If I leave voluntarily, I risk losing that valuable benefit. I feel stuck between wanting to secure my future by looking for a new job and the desire to finish my degree without having to pay for it out of pocket. Right now, I'm weighing my options: should I stay and finish my degree while accepting the risk of being laid off, or should I start applying for new jobs now before I get pushed out? I'm really torn and could use some advice on whether to hold on for the tuition benefit or to start seeking new opportunities.
