I had a frustrating experience during a recent interview for a position I was really excited about. I was scheduled for a 30-minute interview at 10am, and I made sure to prepare thoroughly by updating my resume and researching the company. I received a confirmation email at 7am and promptly replied, confirming my attendance. I arrived 5 minutes early, as recommended, and rang the bell at the security door multiple times, but no one answered. After calling the front desk as instructed, I was let in by an employee who said they would notify the manager of my arrival. However, after waiting for 10 minutes with no sign of the interviewer, I decided to leave. Just as I stepped out, I noticed I had a missed call and a text from the recruiter saying the manager was waiting for me. I can’t help but feel that this was incredibly unprofessional and rude. I put in the effort to be on time and prepared, only to feel like my time was wasted. Am I overreacting, or are these legitimate red flags about the company's communication and respect for candidates?
