Applied at McDonald's for Crew Member

I used to work at McDonald's for about four months before I left on good terms, putting in my two weeks' notice. My general manager told me I could always come back, and another higher-up even mentioned I could use them as a reference. A month ago, I applied for my old position and had an interview with someone I didn't know, who was filling in for the owner. He expressed concerns about hiring me, fearing I might leave again in a few months, and said he would check with the owner about my past performance. It's been a month since that interview, and I've heard nothing back. I noticed the higher-up's car is still in the parking lot, and I'm considering stopping by to ask for my job back. However, I'm worried that it might put pressure on her and create an awkward situation. I'm also contemplating reaching out via call or text, but I'm concerned that my message might go unnoticed. I'm unsure of the best approach to take.
