I have been working as an online fulfillment associate for the past three years, and I'm ready to transition into a new career, ideally in banking. I've got a phone interview scheduled with a recruiter tomorrow, which is exciting but also nerve-wracking. My concern is that I don’t have any cash handling experience, and I'm wondering if that will be a significant drawback. I'm used to being active on the sales floor in a grocery store, and I’m not sure how I’ll adapt to a more stationary role. I also have ADHD, which makes me question whether I can handle the change in environment. I’ve been overthinking this a lot, especially since I’m not familiar with how corporate life operates. I hope they will see my people skills and reliability as valuable, but I’m feeling a bit anxious about the whole process.

I recently applied for a position as a relationship teller at a bank after working for three years as an online fulfillment associate at a grocery store. I have no cash handling experience, and I'm used to being on my feet and moving around the sales floor rather than staying in one spot. I have a phone interview with a recruiter tomorrow, and I'm feeling anxious about whether my lack of cash handling skills will be a red flag. I’m also wondering if I’ll be comfortable in a more stationary role, especially since I have ADHD. I’ve been overthinking the whole corporate environment since I’m not familiar with it. I hope to demonstrate my customer service skills and ability to follow procedures during the interview, as I’ve heard that banks value those traits over specific experience in cash handling.

    Job title: relationship teller
