I am currently a regional manager at a retail company, and I'm feeling extremely frustrated with the staffing situation in my office. Recently, two full-time employees were pulled from my branch to help out at another store, which is larger but has its own staffing issues. This has left my team severely understaffed, consisting of just my branch manager, myself, and three employees, one of whom can only work two days a week. The workload has become overwhelming, and it's clear that management doesn't care about our work-life balance. Both my branch manager and I are working 50-60 hour weeks, and the remaining staff are feeling burnt out and are considering quitting or demoting. I've raised my concerns with my regional manager, but all I get in response are vague suggestions to prioritize tasks and find solutions, without any real support or acknowledgment of the strain we're under. It's incredibly frustrating to see that the higher-ups are willing to stretch us thin just to save on payroll costs, while my team is suffering. I feel like I'm at a loss for what to do next.

I'm currently an assistant manager at Erac, and I'm feeling overwhelmed by my work schedule. I'm clocking in around 47 hours a week, mostly from 7 AM to 6 PM, and it feels like I have no time for anything else in my life. I'm considering switching jobs, but I'm worried about taking a pay cut, especially since there aren't many job opportunities in my town of about 100,000 people that match my skill set. I've thought about going back to school, but the only fields that seem worthwhile are healthcare or teaching, neither of which really interests me. I'm feeling lost and know I need to make a change soon because this schedule is draining me.
