I applied online for a manager position at Store #1460 and set up an in-store interview. I made sure to look presentable with a fresh haircut, a black polo, and dress pants, and I brought along my resume and written references. I arrived at the store at 1:55 PM, five minutes early, and noticed it was pretty quiet with only a couple of customers around. When I told the cashier about my 2 PM interview, she went to check on things. After about 10 minutes of waiting, she returned with a small index card that had my name and phone number written on it. It was clear she felt awkward about the situation, as she motioned towards the fountain drinks and offered me one, probably as a way to apologize for the manager not showing up. It was a disappointing experience, and I could tell she was sympathetic to my situation.

I recently applied online for a management position at a local retail store. After submitting my application, I was excited to receive an invitation for an in-store interview. However, when the day arrived, the manager who was supposed to conduct the interview flaked on me. I waited for a while, hoping they would show up, but unfortunately, I had to leave without any communication from them. It's disappointing to have put in the effort to prepare for the interview only to be let down like this.
