I received a voicemail this morning from a local music store regarding my application for a collections position. I'm feeling a bit uncertain about what to expect in this role, as it involves contacting customers who are behind on their payments for instruments or lessons. I'm reaching out to see if anyone has experience in music store collections or collections in general. I've heard that it can be quite challenging, especially since you're often dealing with customers who may not be happy about their situation.
