I was recently laid off from Hy-Vee, where I worked as part of their operations in India. The company abruptly shut down its India branch, affecting over 150 employees overnight without any prior notice or transition plan. It’s disheartening to see a company that promotes itself as 'employee-owned' treat its workers this way. It feels like they pulled the plug without any consideration for us, which is far from the values they claim to uphold.
