I was laid off in May from my corporate job in business operations and have been actively job searching since then. To keep myself afloat, I took a retail position at Home Depot in September. Surprisingly, I've been excelling in this role—I’ve won two awards and was just named Associate of the Month today. Now, I'm contemplating whether to include this retail experience on my resume. I’m 31 years old with a Master’s degree, so I have some experience, but I spent a lot of time in school, which has left me feeling a bit behind in terms of work history compared to others my age. I’m still searching for corporate positions, albeit a bit more relaxed since I have a job now. I’m curious if it would be beneficial to add this retail role with a couple of bullet points to fill the gap on my resume, or if I should leave it off entirely. Additionally, if I were to consider moving to a corporate role within Home Depot, would my approach to including this experience change?

    Company: Home Depot

    Job title: Associate
