I graduated in May 2026 and I'm currently struggling to find an entry-level tech job. I applied for an IT Technician position where I have two years of relevant experience. After a phone screening, I was optimistic and moved on to the final round of interviews. However, before I could confirm my interview via email, I received a notification that the job posting was taken down and then reposted with a requirement for more experience. This was disheartening, especially since the salary was $65,000, which seemed appealing. I’m feeling quite defeated because I can’t seem to land any entry-level role. I even considered if I should start exaggerating my experience, but I know that could backfire. It’s frustrating to see the job market shift, and I’m worried that my recent graduation is holding me back. I’ve been advised to keep applying to other roles that match my skills, but it feels like a tough uphill battle.
