  1. 1

I was laid off about six months ago from my role as a marketing manager at a mid-sized tech company. The experience has been tough, and I've been actively job hunting since then. It took me around three months to land a new position, but the process was stressful and filled with anxiety. I still feel the effects of the layoff; it's hard to shake off the fear of it happening again. Looking back, I realize there were signs leading up to my layoff that I ignored, thinking I could navigate through them. I wish I had saved more and been better prepared for the possibility of losing my job. The job market feels incredibly competitive now, especially with AI tools making it easier for applicants to submit resumes. I'm doing my best to stay positive and focused on finding a new opportunity.
