I graduated with my MFA in May from a well-known university in NYC, and I’m really struggling to find a job. I’m a 30-year-old woman with a Bachelor's in English, and I feel like I had better luck landing interviews when I only had that degree. Now, I can’t even get an interview for entry-level editorial positions. I’ve been freelancing and working in the service industry, but my freelance work has dried up, and I’m currently stuck in a restaurant job that makes me miserable. I’ve been networking like crazy and reaching out to everyone I know, but nothing seems to be working. I’m starting to wonder if it’s just the job market or if people can sense my dwindling self-esteem. It’s really frustrating.
