I recently interviewed for a contract position that offers good pay and sounds interesting, but I'm leaning towards finding something permanent. I'm curious about how contract jobs work in terms of commitment. If I accept this role, am I obligated to stay for the entire duration of the contract? What if I find a permanent position while I'm still under contract—can I just give my notice? Additionally, if I decide to stick it out until the end of the contract and don’t secure another job afterward, can I claim unemployment benefits? I'm looking for clarity on these points before making a decision.
