I had my final interview last Tuesday at a small professional company where I met most of the team. I followed up the next day, and the hiring manager mentioned they were still gathering feedback and would be in touch. It's now been almost a week, and I haven't heard anything. They didn't ask for references or anything, which is making me wonder if I should start accepting defeat. In my past corporate roles, I usually received an offer within 1 or 2 days after the final interview, so this silence is quite concerning.
