I recently got hired as an electrician at a pool company, but it turned out to be a short-lived experience. Interestingly, the company has been around for 10 years, but their office is tucked away in a corner of an industrial parking lot, surrounded by shipping crates and trucks. I noticed that none of the other employees had been there for more than eight months, which raised some red flags for me. While I had low expectations for the job, I left feeling more confused than upset. It seems like they might have a specific type of person in mind for the role, and I just didn't match that vision. Overall, I'm feeling pretty bleak about the situation, but maybe this was a blessing in disguise.
