I've been on the job hunt for a while now, applying to numerous positions, but I'm starting to feel really discouraged. I often find myself waiting for weeks, sometimes even months, without any response. Just recently, I applied for a role through a company's website and they reached out to me, saying my application looked great but they needed my actual resume. Unfortunately, I couldn't upload it because the file was too large. After that, I didn't hear anything back from them, despite following up for updates. Today, I received a rejection for a job I applied for back in June. It feels like my applications are just disappearing into a void. I can't help but wonder why this has become the norm in the job market. The ghosting from employers is incredibly frustrating, and I feel like I'm just applying to black holes. It seems like there are so many candidates for every job that my application is just one among thousands, and I can't shake the feeling that this process is becoming increasingly impersonal.
