I recently went through a final round of interviews for a position I was really excited about. There were three candidates, including myself, and the company mentioned they would select two of us for a site visit as the last step before making a decision. The recruiter indicated that if I was chosen, the site visit would happen this week. The hiring manager echoed this sentiment but didn’t provide a specific date, which left me feeling uncertain. Since I would need to fly out to their headquarters, I expected to hear back from them soon. However, I haven’t received any confirmation yet, and my application status is still active. I reached out to the recruiter for an update, but she hasn’t responded, which has added to my confusion. I’m left wondering if this is a common experience for others in the job search process.
