  1. 1

I am a 26-year-old woman who has been through a lot in my early 20s, battling depression and anxiety that led to a significant isolation from the world. I struggled with suicidal thoughts and feelings of hopelessness while it felt like everyone else was moving forward in their lives. After years of fighting these internal battles, I finally feel ready to start over and rebuild my life. However, I face the challenge of having no work experience and a substantial gap in my career. I'm unsure how to explain this to potential employers during interviews. I also experienced a fall down the stairs that has left me with concerns about my spinal cord, but I never sought medical attention for it. I wonder if it would be appropriate to mention this as a reason for my career gap, even though I lack medical documentation to support it. I'm just looking for advice on how to navigate this situation and find a chance to build a better future for myself.
