I’m feeling really anxious about my job situation right now. I work as an advisor at a college and have developed a strong passion for higher education. Recently, I applied for an internal manager role that I desperately want, but I haven’t heard back about a second-round interview, which has me worried. A colleague hinted that she might have applied too and possibly got the job, which only adds to my frustration. I’ve been in my current position for two and a half years, and I recently won an award for quarter 2 of 2026, which is a big deal for me since I've never won anything at work before. Despite this achievement, I’m feeling defeated and stuck. I’m also considering applying to traditional universities, but I keep hitting roadblocks with interviews and resume submissions. It’s tough because I want more for myself, but I feel like I’m not making any progress.
