I was laid off from my job about a month ago and recently received a severance agreement. However, I haven't signed it yet because my former lead advised me to negotiate for a higher amount. I'm curious if anyone else has successfully asked for more severance and what their experience was like. I understand that severance isn't guaranteed, and I'm aware that I might not have much leverage since I'm already out of the company. Still, I want to make sure I'm making the right decision.
