I was fired today from my position as a litigation assistant after just over two months at the company. I joined on June 22nd, and up until August 12th, everything seemed to be going well. My attorneys expressed satisfaction with my work, and I was even allowed to work from home two days a week before my probationary period ended. They even shipped me a complete home setup, which made me feel secure in my role. However, today I was unexpectedly let go without any prior warning or documentation of issues regarding my performance. The reason given was that I supposedly misrepresented my skills during the interview process. This claim feels unfounded, especially considering that I was given positive feedback and a home setup. It leaves me confused and frustrated about how things turned so quickly. I’m now left to figure out my next steps and consider my options moving forward.
