I was recently laid off from my first job after completing my MBA. I graduated from a Tier 2 MBA college this year and landed a product role at a fintech company. Unfortunately, after the company acquired another fintech, they decided to lay off a significant number of employees, and I was among those let go. I never anticipated that my first job would end so abruptly, especially so early in my career. The timing is particularly tough as I have a substantial education loan to repay, and my family is not in a position to support me financially at the moment. The past couple of days have been incredibly stressful, and I’m feeling anxious about what the future holds. I’m looking to explore new opportunities where my MBA in Marketing and 7 months of product experience could be a good fit. If anyone has any referrals or advice, I would greatly appreciate it, as I feel like I’m hanging by a thread right now.
