Today, I received a call to set up an interview for a position that I'm feeling a bit uncertain about. I decided to do some research on the company and checked their reviews on Indeed. To my surprise, I found only two reviews: one was a glowing 5-star review praising the company, which felt a bit suspicious, and the other was a harsh 1-star review criticizing the company for its high turnover rate and poor work environment. Curious, I looked at their Google reviews and found a similar pattern. Out of about 50 reviews, there were numerous short 5-star comments that felt generic and insincere, alongside detailed 1-star reviews that included complaints and even pictures. This inconsistency has made me hesitant about moving forward with the interview. I'm wondering how much weight others place on these reviews when job hunting. I'm seriously considering canceling the interview based on what I've seen.
