Frustrations with Job Hunting on Indeed and ZipRecruiter: A Personal Experience

I've been unemployed for a few months now and recently decided to dive back into job hunting using apps like Indeed and ZipRecruiter. Honestly, I'm shocked at how ineffective they seem to be. It feels like a majority of the listings are either scams or ghost jobs. Many postings advertise a high salary but then turn out to be gig work, which is frustrating. On top of that, the algorithms seem to suggest positions that are completely unrelated to my experience, and I find myself labeled as a 'top candidate' for jobs I’m not even qualified for. Am I missing something, or are these platforms just not what they used to be?
