I recently found myself in a bit of a dilemma regarding my job situation. Currently, I’m working part-time at Hollister, but the hours have been less than what I anticipated. A few months back, I was offered a seasonal position at PacSun, which I declined because I was looking for something more stable and permanent. At that time, I thought I could manage only one job and opted for what I believed was a better opportunity. Now, with my current situation at Hollister not providing enough hours, I’m considering reapplying to PacSun. However, I’m worried that declining their previous offer might raise a red flag for them. Additionally, I’m concerned that my current role at Hollister might make me appear unreliable or less committed. I remember that when I informed the PacSun manager about my decision, he left my message on read, which didn’t help my confidence. I know I need to be upfront about my current job at Hollister when I reapply, but I’m unsure how to present it without seeming like I’m juggling too much or that I’m not fully available. I’m really hoping to get some advice on whether it’s a bad idea to reapply to a job I turned down and how best to communicate my current employment without it negatively impacting my chances.
