I got laid off from my job in New York City on June 1, and since then, I've been actively searching for a new position. Unfortunately, the job hunt hasn’t been going well for me. The cost of living here is really high, and I'm starting to feel the financial strain. I'm curious about how others in NYC who have faced layoffs are managing their situations. How long have you all been looking for new jobs, and what strategies are you using to cope financially? I've seen some discussions where people mentioned subletting their apartments to ease the financial burden. One person I read about moved to Florida to stay with family after finding a subletter, which sounds like a smart move. I'm considering all options, but it's tough out here. If anyone has tips or similar experiences, I’d love to hear them.
