I was laid off from my role at Epic Games earlier this year, and I've been struggling to find a new position ever since. I've taken advice from various sources, revised my resume multiple times, and have been actively networking with recruiters and seeking internal referrals. Despite my efforts, I've submitted over 550 applications and participated in more than a dozen interviews, but I still haven't secured a job. The feedback I receive often indicates that I lost out on opportunities due to factors beyond my control. I frequently reach late stages in the interview processes, only to have my hopes dashed when I don't get the offer. I'm running out of runway financially and have been working a temporary job just to stay afloat, but that position is also coming to an end. It's been a series of challenges, and to say I'm scared would be an understatement. I'm feeling quite lost and unsure of what my next steps should be.
