I recently applied for a position at Mount S. Hospital in New York City and went through the medical clearance process. A week ago, I had my medical examination, but I just received an email stating that my medical clearance was not approved. They want me to come in person to discuss this with a provider. I'm feeling really anxious about it because I was open about my mental health due to my medication. I only disclosed this because they administered a toxicology exam and mentioned a fair chance for disability. Now, I'm worried that this could mean I'm out of the running for the job, and I'm panicking because I genuinely want this opportunity. I have my mental health under control and have systems in place to manage it. I just don't understand what went wrong and what this means for my application.
