I recently started a new job and set up my direct deposit about a week ago. However, I'm still waiting for my first paycheck to post to my bank account, and I'm starting to wonder if this is normal. To add to the situation, I was let go after just four or five days because the company apparently doesn't hire people on probation. Now I'm debating whether it would be awkward to show up in person to inquire about my paycheck or if I should just wait it out.
