Today, I received a notice for a telephone hearing regarding my unemployment compensation appeal. I live in Pennsylvania and was previously denied benefits back in August. Despite not having received any unemployment benefits, one of my former employers is appealing the initial decision, mistakenly thinking I am currently receiving benefits. I'm currently working 40 hours a week, so this hearing is a bit of a hassle for me. The notice states I need to attend a hearing on October 16th at a state career center. I’m hoping to find some advice on how to handle this situation, especially since I’m on my lunch break at work and don’t have time to call for help right now.
