I experienced another round of layoffs at Oracle, following the same pattern as in March. This time, we received the same email notification, and the lockouts started at 6 AM again. It feels disheartening to see the company repeat this process without any changes or improvements. I'm currently navigating the uncertainty and trying to connect with colleagues who were also affected.

Today, I learned that Apple has laid off 147 engineers from their Silicon Valley team following the disappointing launch of the Vision Pro. As someone who has always admired Apple's innovation, it's disheartening to see such a significant number of talented individuals affected by a product that didn't meet expectations. I remember when the Vision Pro was first announced; it had so much hype surrounding it, but the high price and limited availability seemed to set it up for failure. It's a tough reminder that even industry giants can misstep, and it raises questions about how they support their teams during challenging times. I hope those affected find new opportunities soon.
